“SHOCKING NEWS” Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel’s strong warning to Miami amid Tua Tagovailoa INT vs. Bills

SHOCKING NEWS: Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel’s strong warning to Miami amid Tua Tagovailoa INT vs. Bills

The Miami Dolphins’ season-long hold on the AFC East has come to an end courtesy of a heartbreaking regular-season finale. On Sunday, the Dolphins fell to the Buffalo Bills, 21-14 — a game which handed the Bills their fourth straight division title and continued the Dolphins’ drought for one.

The game was ultimately decided by a late interception thrown by Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. After the game, head coach Mike McDaniel mentioned that while Tagovailoa takes full accountability for the loss, the result was not just the quarterback’s fault. At the same time, he warned that the team can’t keep committing turnovers moving forward.

“We can’t turn it over,” McDaniel said via Palm Beach Post’s Joe Schad. “Tua will be hard on himself. He takes full accountability. It’s definitely not all on him.”

Mike McDaniel and the Dolphins fall in a fourth-quarter collapse

Tagovailoa completed 17-of-27 attempts for 173 yards, along with one touchdown and two interceptions. All in all, the Dolphins managed to tally 275 yards as a team, far less than the Bills’ 473.

What makes the game even more frustrating for the Dolphins was how they already had a seven-point lead entering the fourth quarter. The turning point of the game, however, came with 14 minutes left in the final period, when Bills receiver Deonte Hardy ran 95 yards for a punt return touchdown.

From there, the momentum shifted to the Bills’ side. With over seven minutes left, Buffalo scored another touchdown courtesy of Dawson Knox. Miami could go no further as they failed to produce any points throughout the entire second half.

Mike McDaniel’s squad will now have to settle for the sixth seed entering the postseason…and watch as Buffalo gets crowned the kings of the division they’ve led for most of the season.
